A new decade, new opportunities
With 20 days of the year and decade already in the books why not check in to see where you are with your goals. This week marked the start of some new opportunities for me that I have been excited about.
At the end of 2009, I was asked to serve my Church as a part of a couple of committees. After praying about it and doing some soul searching I decided to accept the appointment as an opportunity to use my leadership skills that I have been working so hard to develop and improve.
This is something that I had been praying about for some time now. I just wasn’t expecting for it to be in this manner of service.
After our first meeting this week, I am seeing that this is going to be a great way to service God, my Church and to stretch myself. There have been some big goals and dreams that have been talked about and it will be up to the committee to help share this vision.
This new project that I have taken on has shown me that I will have to step out of my comfort zone to improve myself as a leader, as well as my vision.
